Prez Says:

Thank you to everyone who either attended or worked at the fundraiser for Ukraine! A special thank you to Past President Rita for working so hard to bring this idea to all 4 Kiwanis Clubs in Rochester, and bringing this plan to fruition! We are thankful also to the VFW for hosting the breakfast and helping those of us who have no restaurant experience to “help” their staff serve, bus tables, greet etc.
Remember that February is a special month. As I recall, February 14 is a wonderful day to remember the people we love! . . . AL

Traditionally Presidents Day was Washington’s birthday.
It was celebrated as a public holiday on February 22 each year, in peace or in war.

  • Update on the four Kiwanis clubs of Rochester joint breakfast at VFW Club on Saturday January 27th, with proceeds going to the children of Ukraine. We served about 250 to 300 people and raised over $4000. The VFW generously donated all of the proceeds, plus tips to this fundraiser. We hope to do more fundraising with all the Clubs together.
    Per Rita McCoy Thanks.
  • We plan on doing scholarship ($500) again for school year 2024 with Schaeffer Academy.
  • SMIF books where received, sorted, and delivered to St. Pius X School and Boys & Girls club.
Thanks AL & Nancy for your work on ScyMIF book project.

Never give up. Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse,
but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine.
